There would be no reason to drink after a silly game like that last night.

At least I realize that now.

And still dry, thankfully.

There's probably a coming discussion with myself about what problem drinking is for me, but that's for a day in the future at this point...

I'd like to publicly apologize for being such an idiot in the first place.

Well, here we are.

I feel a bit of pride in knowing that only 14% of people that go through treatment actually make it through the year without tripping and/or falling.

I can still hold my head high at this point.

And my brain not exploding is an excellent benefit on the side, frankly.

Well, I'm really, really close to making it through this year.

Then another year starts for me, of course.

In a way, I'm angry that it took what it did to get me to stop drinking.

But in another way, it took what it took, so I'm relatively OK with it.

What matters is that I survived up to this point.

A year ago at this time is a time best forgotten.

Fortunately, due to my actions that day I can't really recall any of it.

Yes, it's better to be dry at this point.

I don't know about you, but I'm somewhat glad this daily thing is nearly over.

And...no, I'm not that particularly thirsty.

So I still have that going for me.

I would hate myself if I were to use the cliche about 360 degrees in this case.

Especially since that is a complete turnaround and continuation of the same path, really.

Well, I've made it through a complete day since I had the incredible fun of NYE without a trip.

So far, so good...

As predicted, I've witnessed enough idiocy for one night.

Of course, a year ago at this time I was mentally preparing for a heckuva bender due to this exasperation.

I must be better now, since that doesn't seem to be an option.
