A Day Late, But...

It has been a year since I left treatment.

So I've "made it."

Not that anything changes now, but it is good to know these things...

On the Plus Side

I recently realized that it's almost been a year since I got out of treatment.

I'll probably be nice and stop in there at some point next week, even if most of the names have been passed out of my brain...

Just Realized...

I actually finished treatment on February 23, 2009.

That means I've got a few weeks to make it through a year, I guess.

Still dry, in any case.

Trigger Event OF the Year

There would be no reason to drink after a silly game like that last night.

At least I realize that now.

I Am Still Here

And still dry, thankfully.

There's probably a coming discussion with myself about what problem drinking is for me, but that's for a day in the future at this point...

I've got to take a moment to thank everybody that has read this or helped write it in the first place.

You know who you are, I would hope.

I'd like to publicly apologize for being such an idiot in the first place.

You live and learn, thankfully.

Hopefully, I should say.

Day #365

Well, here we are.

I feel a bit of pride in knowing that only 14% of people that go through treatment actually make it through the year without tripping and/or falling.

I can still hold my head high at this point.

And my brain not exploding is an excellent benefit on the side, frankly.
